Plans for partner and development stores

Partner and development stores get a free STOQ plan with paid preorder features unlocked.

If your store is a Shopify development store or a Shopify Partner store, STOQ automatically puts you on a special free Partner plan. It unlocks paid-tier preorder features at no cost, so you can build and test a full preorder setup before the store goes live, with no subscription required.

This is aimed at Shopify Partners and agencies building stores for clients, and at anyone setting up a store on a development store before launch.

How you get it

You don't sign up for the Partner plan. STOQ detects it automatically. When your store is a Shopify development or partner store, STOQ reads that status from Shopify and places you on the Partner plan. There's nothing to enable. Because the Partner plan counts as a paid plan in STOQ, paid-only preorder features are unlocked: scheduling, automatic payment collection, split and hold fulfillments, Markets targeting, Collection and All product types, the countdown timer, and bulk order actions. See Free vs paid preorder features for the full list.

What's included

Partner plan
Subscription feeFree
Preorder featuresPaid-tier (same as a paid plan)
Monthly preorder allowanceUp to 50 preorder orders per month
Overage feeNone

Allowances and features can change, so check the Plans & pricing page in STOQ for what currently applies to your store.

Check your plan

Open Plans & pricing in the STOQ left menu. Partner and development stores see the Partner plan reflected there, with paid features available across the offer editor and no lock icons on the paid-only controls.

Limitations

The Partner plan applies only while your store is a Shopify development or partner store. When the store goes live (that is, it converts to a regular paid Shopify plan), it's no longer a partner store, so the Partner plan ends. To keep using preorders after that, choose a STOQ plan from the Plans & pricing page (the Free plan, or a paid plan for the paid features you were using).

Warning

When your store goes live, paid-tier preorder features are no longer free. If you're relying on scheduling, automatic collection, or split/hold fulfillments, subscribe to a paid STOQ plan so those keep working: see Preorder plans and billing.

FAQ

Do I need to sign up for the Partner plan?

No. STOQ detects development and partner stores automatically and puts them on the Partner plan. There's nothing to enable or subscribe to.

Which preorder features do I get?

Paid-tier features, the same as a paid plan:

  1. Scheduling
  2. Automatic payment collection
  3. Split and hold fulfillments
  4. Markets targeting
  5. Collection and All product types
  6. The countdown timer
  7. Bulk order actions

See Free vs paid preorder features for the full list.

Is there a limit or overage fee?

The Partner plan includes up to 50 preorder orders a month with no overage fee. Check the Plans & pricing page for the current allowance for your store.

What happens when my development store goes live?

Once the store converts to a regular paid Shopify plan it's no longer a partner store, so the Partner plan ends. Pick a STOQ plan from the Plans & pricing page to continue: a paid plan if you want to keep the paid-tier features.

Which stores are eligible?

Shopify development stores and Shopify Partner stores. STOQ determines eligibility from your store's status in Shopify. You don't apply for it.
