Send shipping delay email for preorders
If a preorder product is delayed, it's important to keep your customers informed. Using STOQ, you can easily send a shipping update email to the customers who have purchased the delayed product in bulk or individually. Here's how you can do it.
- Go to the "Reports" section from the left menu bar of the 'Stoq' app.
- Select the "Preorders" tab.
Send shipping delay email in bulk
- Select one or more preorders that you wish to send the shipping delay email to and click on "Send shipping update" button.
- Update the necessary information on the template pop up.
- Subject: The subject of the email.
- Header: The main heading of your email.
- Description: The detailed message explaining the delay.
- Once you're done, click "send email" to send the shipping delay email.
Send shipping delay email for a single preorder
- Click on the "Order Number" that you wish to send the preorder email for.
- Click on "Send shipping update" button email.
- Update the necessary information on the template pop up.
- Subject: The subject of the email.
- Header: The main heading of your email.
- Description: The detailed message explaining the delay.
- Once you're done, click "send email" to send the shipping delay email.
- If the email is sent successfully, you'll see a toast "Shipping email sent" at the bottom of the screen.
- If the email send has failed, you'll see a toast "Shipping email failed" at the bottom of the screen. In this case, you have to wait a few minutes and retry sending the email.
