How to Set up the Preorder Limit in the offer

Stoq allows merchants to set pre-order limits for their products, giving you control over the quantity available for pre-order. This feature lets you manage your inventory effectively by specifying the maximum number of units you want to sell as pre-orders. This feature helps prevent overselling, allowing you to maintain a healthy inventory flow.

What Happens Once the Pre-order Limit is Reached

Once the pre-order limit is reached, the app will automatically disable the toggle 'Continue selling when out of stock' in the Shopify product section, stop showing the pre-order button, and display a Sold Out button instead. This ensures that customers cannot place pre-orders for that product after the limit has been reached, clearly indicating that the pre-order quantity is no longer available. This feature helps prevent overselling, ensuring a reliable inventory flow.

How to Add a Pre-order Limit

To set a pre-order limit for your products, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to 'Preorders' from the left sidebar of the app.
2. Under Offers, select the Preorder Offer by clicking on the offer.

3. In the "Product" tab, locate the "Limit" field designated for the Quantity Limit. Here, you can enter the maximum number of units you wish to make available for pre-order for each product.

4. Save Changes: Once you have set the desired limit, click next button and click "Save" on the next tab to apply the changes.
5. At the end of the page, It is mentioned that the STOQ will automatically disable 'Continue selling when out of stock' when the quantity limit for a product is sold through.

Additional Information:

• You can reset the pre-order limit by clicking the "Reset ↻" icon , which will clear the units sold. To remove the number from the limit field, add 0 in the limit section.

• You can show the Limit in disclaimer section by navigating to the Preorder customization section click on the Limit & Terms section and select the 'Show preorder limit in disclaimer'
• You can use these three variables in the text field {{quantity}}, {{sold}}, {{total}}.
