How to Search Preorder Offers by Name or Linked Products

Learn how to quickly find preorder offers in STOQ by searching for offer names or the products linked to them.


Overview


As your store grows, you may have many preorder offers to manage. STOQ's search feature helps you quickly find specific offers by searching for the offer name or the names of products linked to an offer. This saves time when you need to edit, enable, or disable a particular offer without scrolling through a long list.



Accessing the Offers List


The search feature is available on the main Offers page in STOQ.


Navigating to Offers


  1. From your Shopify admin, open the STOQ app.
  2. Click **Preorders **in the left navigation menu.
  3. Click **Offers **to view your list of preorder offers.



Using the Search Bar


The search bar appears at the top of the offers list and allows you to search by offer name or product name.



  1. On the Offers page, look for the search bar at the top of the offers table.
  2. The placeholder text reads "Search by offer or product name".


Searching by Offer Name


To find an offer by its name:


  1. Click in the search bar.
  2. Type the offer name or part of it.
  3. Results update automatically as you type.
  4. Matching offers appear in the list below.


For example, if you have an offer named "Summer Collection Preorder", typing "Summer" or "Collection" will show that offer in the results.


Searching by Product Name


To find offers that contain a specific product:


  1. Click in the search bar.
  2. Type the product name or part of it.
  3. Results update automatically as you type.
  4. Offers containing products that match your search appear in the list.


For example, if you're looking for offers that include a product called "Blue Sneakers", typing "Blue" or "Sneakers" will show all offers that have that product linked.


Tip: The search matches partial text, so you don't need to type the full name. Typing just a few characters can help you find what you're looking for quickly.



Clearing Your Search


After searching, you can clear the search to see all offers again.



  1. Click the X icon in the search bar to clear your search term.
  2. The offers list returns to showing all offers.


Alternatively:


  1. Click the **Cancel **button next to the filters.
  2. This clears both the search term and any applied filters.



Combining Search with Filters


You can use the search bar together with other filters to narrow down your results even further.


Available Filters


In addition to search, you can filter offers by:


  • Status: Show only enabled or disabled offers
  • Market: Show offers available in specific markets


Using Search and Filters Together


  1. Enter your search term in the search bar.
  2. Click on a filter to apply additional criteria.
  3. The results show offers matching both your search term and filter selections.


For example, you could search for "Summer" and filter by "Enabled" to find only active offers with "Summer" in the name or linked products.


Clearing All Filters


To reset both search and filters:


  1. Click the Clear all button in the filters area.
  2. This removes your search term and all applied filters.
  3. The full list of offers appears again.


Sorting Search Results


You can sort your search results to find offers more easily.

After searching, use the sort dropdown to order results by Date created , Offer Name, Revenue.



When No Results Are Found


If your search doesn't match any offers, STOQ displays a helpful message.

When no offers match your search:


  1. A message appears: "No preorder offers found"
  2. Below it: "Try searching with a different term or create a new offer to get started."
  3. You can click Add new offer to create a new preorder offer.


Tips for Better Search Results


If you're not finding what you're looking for:


  • Try using fewer characters or a different part of the name
  • Check for typos in your search term
  • Search for the product name instead of the offer name (or vice versa)
  • Clear filters that might be hiding matching offers

  • Use descriptive names for your offers (e.g., "Holiday 2024 Preorder" instead of "Offer 1")

  • Group related products in the same offer when possible
  • This makes it easier to find all preorder settings for a product line


Regular Cleanup


  • Periodically review and delete unused offers
  • Disable offers that are no longer active
  • This keeps your offers list manageable and search results relevant

The search feature has some constraints to be aware of.


  • Search matches offer names and product names only - it does not search other fields like descriptions or settings
  • Search is not case-sensitive, so "summer" and "Summer" return the same results
  • Very long product names may be truncated in the display, but the full name is still searchable
