# Use STOQ in your Tapcart mobile app

> Take preorders and back in stock signups inside a mobile app built with Tapcart.

Use this guide if your store has a mobile app built with Tapcart and you want STOQ preorders and back in stock alerts to work inside it. Tapcart has built STOQ into the **Add to cart** button of Tapcart apps, so customers can preorder and sign up for alerts in your app, just like on your online store.

## Before you begin

| Requirement | Detail |
|---|---|
| A Tapcart app | Your store needs a mobile app built with Tapcart. |
| Tapcart turns it on | The integration is switched on by Tapcart, not in STOQ. Contact Tapcart's team and ask them to enable the STOQ integration for your Tapcart app. |

## What customers will see

| Product | What the Add to cart button does in your Tapcart app |
|---|---|
| In a preorder offer | Becomes your preorder button. It uses the button text, preorder disclaimer, payment options and customer acknowledgement from your preorder offer. |
| Out of stock | Becomes your **Notify me** button and opens your signup form, using the text you set in STOQ. |

You style the buttons and signup form from Tapcart's dashboard. Changes you make in STOQ, like editing a preorder offer or your **Notify me** button text, show up in your Tapcart app.

## Set it up

On a phone, this menu is collapsed. In the **Shopify mobile app**, tap the **STOQ** logo at the top of the screen to open it, then choose the section named below. There is no hamburger icon. See [Finding the STOQ menu](https://help.stoqapp.com/general/getting-started-with-stoq/#finding-the-stoq-menu).

1. **Open the Integrations page**

   1. In the left menu bar of the STOQ app, click **Back in stock alerts**.
   2. Click the **Settings** tab.
   3. Open the **Integrations** sub-tab, then click **See integrations** to open the full **Integrations** page.

2. **Open the Tapcart card**

Scroll to the **Mobile app builders** section and click **Set up** on the **Tapcart** card. It explains how the integration works.

If you don't have a Tapcart app yet, click **Get Tapcart** to go to Tapcart's site.

3. **Ask Tapcart to turn it on**

Contact Tapcart's team and ask them to enable the STOQ integration for your Tapcart app. There's nothing to turn on in STOQ.

## Check your setup

1. Open your Tapcart app on a phone.
2. Open a product that's in an enabled preorder offer. The **Add to cart** button should show your preorder button text.
3. Open an out-of-stock product. The button should show your **Notify me** text and open the signup form.

## Troubleshooting

- If the app still shows a normal **Add to cart** button on preorder products: ask Tapcart's team to confirm the STOQ integration is enabled for your app, and check that the preorder offer is turned on in STOQ.
- If the button styling doesn't match your store: style the buttons and signup form from Tapcart's dashboard, not STOQ.

## FAQ

### Do I need to set anything up in STOQ for Tapcart?

No. Tapcart reads your existing preorder offers and **Notify me** settings. Contact Tapcart's team to turn the integration on.

### Will my preorder offer changes show in the app?

Yes. Changes you make in STOQ, such as editing a preorder offer or your **Notify me** button text, show up in your Tapcart app.

### Does this change how preorders work on my online store?

No. Your online store works the same as before. The integration only affects your Tapcart app.
